I don't think it will ever flatten out. Came in very cold weather rolled up in a tube.

The listing specifies "Medium Pile" and I found out we have a plush carpet that doesn't really work very well with this mat but it will be suitable for the time being. Certainly make sure the carpet is not too high.

only thing wrong is they rolled it up in a box and this is a stiff plastic mat to try to unroll basiclly had to unroll and lay out in sun for it to lay flat .
