This works great for heating up areas of pets too! I use it to give warmth to my African Dwarf Frogs because my apartment is cold. If you copy me make sure you do not put the lamp head too close to your pet's tank(s). Just an idea but overall the lighting of this lamp is Great!

I had one, but gave it to a friend so she could see her piano music better. I missed it so much that I ordered two more ---one for my sewing room and one for my computer desk. The bright light and flexible gooseneck make this lamp perfect for these chores.
