The boots are easy to get on and off. The velcro closures seem substantial -- but I've only had them a few weeks. I personally am a female but use these for myself when taking the dog out, feeding the birds and walking down a very long drive to the mailbox. I haven't used them for longer distance...

Wore them yesterday for the first time. WONDERFUL!!! So lightweight, unlike all my old boots that weighed a ton and did not keep my feet warm. I'm 67 and these fit the bill for anyone.
