I had trouble replacing the wire, detaching, the plug-in end, and reached out to OXO for help. I was surprised when they replaced it! It was unexpected, and very pleasant to have OXO immediately respond.

Cheese slicer wire broke (after several years) and when I looked on the OXO website it indicated that they were temporarily unavailable. Save your extra wires! We have used this for a few years and love it! It slices well, is easy to grip and use, but after a few years, our first wire lost its stretch and became too loose. After swapping the wire, it was good as new! Hopefully this should last us many more years!

This replaced one whose cutting wire would slip off the right side when the tensioning wheel. I seems to now hold on when tightening up the wire for use.
