I've had this to keep some fly-fishing stuff safe but recently the lock disappeared, nowhere to be found. These tabs are not securely attached to the carabiner. It seems like a design defect.

Those small bent rods make little resistance. It has sharp edges that can tear something or even cut your skin. Those sharp edges are where those rods are anchored.
