      Not bad! Nothing terribly memorable or outstanding, but some of the stories made use of characters that have been carried over from previous anthologies and it was nice to see them developed further.

      The Valdemar anthologies have become pretty predictable - the roster doesn't vary much, and most of the authors are using the same characters - but they're pretty consistently solid, and Valdemar is comfort food by definition.
