My truck started making a roaring, grinding sound. I figured it was the tensioner or the idler pulley. I bought the tensioner switched it. Then started the truck up noise was gone. I'm glad I bought the tensioner first. Hopefully it'll last for a good while

Used this on a 2001 Suburban w/ 5.3L LM7 - along with a serp belt, ac belt, lower and upper hoses, water pump - new thermostat and fan clutch (all advance auto parts) on a 248K vehicle - all working well thus far. Shopping online saved a few $ on some items
