I bought this unit after being advised that Time Warner Cable was going to charge for useage of their modem. It was easier to install than getting TWC to credit my account! I had it up and running in about ten minutes.

Ordering the modem online was easy. Brought it home...plugged it in...turned it on...called Time-Warner to register the Media number...worked as advertised. It'll pay for itself in saved rental charges from Time-Warner in about 2 years.

All in one modem and router, easy to hook up and works well for the price. But according to my cable supplier, the technology is soon reaching its End-of-life use, meaning that as new technology standards are evolving this unit will become obsolete over the next several years.
