I love Mark Twain's stories. He has a very engaging way of writing. His autobiography took a bit to get through however. He jumped around from topic to topic (he'd start talking about one thing, mention it reminded him of something else and go off on a tangent). That took some getting used to.See...

I tried to get this book at christmas and it was always "not available" so I paid a lot more for it than when it was offered in December, but it was a gift. it was still cheaper than b&n. I also had it sent to the houseof the person it was intended for, that was convient.

I bought this book for my husband. He is a huge fan of Mark Twain and he was very pleased with this book. I was amazed at how big a book it is considering that it's just volume 1. He has not finished reading it yet, but what he has read, he has enjoyed very much.
