This a good mat for a beginner, light weight, but a little on the small size, not much of a loss if you end up not doing much yoga. If you want a traveling yoga mat it is a good for that, being smaller and lighter. Let it air out a few days before you use it to off gas, has a strong odor.

Good beginner mat. Lightweight. I have the 5mm thickness, which provides extra cushioning. Would be good for travel or to have as a second mat. Really like the peacock feather design!
