Well made rod. Fiberglass composition. Low flex. Tried it out with zebco 33 reel in small pond of catfish. Have me good control of target cast after cast. Caught a 3 ln catfish with no problem. Has a hook holder just above reel. 2 piece construction portable and light.

I needed a boat rod that was sturdy, yet with enough flex to 'feel' the hit. I will use it at the river's mouth, and in deep water for the salmon which can get heavy. The rod has good balance and nice eyes. A good buy
