It turns on and gets hot. And that's it. No steam. I followed the directions exactly, read all the materials that came with the steamer, and it produces absolutely no steam.

When it worked it was decent, but even though I used distilled water, it's broken down completely. The steamer will heat up, but no steam comes out. I'm really disappointed, and unless something changes for the better, I don't think I'll be buying Rowenta again.

Pulled it out of the box, followed the instructions (very simple) and when it fully heated (solid blue light), I pulled the steam trigger. All I got was some clacking sound and the smell of a burning electronic component. Some wisps of smoke coming out of the holes the steam should be coming out of.

Based on my experience and the majority of the reviewers, it seems this unit was intentionally designed to be used once or twice and then fail. Also, it's impossible to disassemble and service without destroying the housing. Don't waste your money, and warn your friends away from Rowenta.
