As another reviewer wrote to prepare to change batteries often, this is true to some extent. These lights are indoor lights, NOT OUTDOOR. If you use outdoor as I do, you will need to wrap or tape plastic wrap or a baggie around the battery unit to protect it from moisture....it's that SIMPLE!!!...

There is one function that only uses about 1/3 or less lgt. Maybe won't have to change batt too much (3 AA) using. I just got these and I think they're great. Bright and beautiful. For price, too.
