I'm a guide on the Columbia river and these Berkley rods have done a great job fishing for walleye, nice action make it great for bottom bouncers as well as plugs

Snapped right above the joint during a fight with a chum. Drag was set and it already was peeling line at a healthy rate when the rod snapped, no warning. The cross section appears to be very thin. While I enjoyed the feel, action and lightness of it, it's just not tough enough for normal duty. I...
