As a photographer who loves the work of Ansel Adams and others who have entered nature to try to capture its beauty, this was a very neat read. I loved the photographs, the technical details and the history. A very interesting book with so much research.

A history of early nature films, some what technical at times but generally interesting. This was hard work, I cannot imagine the hardships of travel, remote locations and primitive cameras and film. I only wish the films themselves were more easily accessible.
