I've been using WD drives for more than 30 years. As an IT infrastructure consultant before I retired I spec'd in WD on every server config, thousands of them. I currently have WD Red+ in three Synology NAS on my home network. They perform as expected.

I wanted to update an older drive that I use to store movies, both to increase storage space and to improve performance. This drive have faster read and write speeds and a bigger cache and additional space for future needs. It is also quiet.

I received the big box and two small boxes securely packaged. No issue with Packaging. Guess WD people complained.
