I am really enjoying this series. It is part fantasy, part alternative, part western. It is quite a nice read/listen. The woman reading the audio version has a great accent for the books. A fantastic match.I recommend this series for a light read that is rather fun.

Holy crap. This is an awesome book. Patricia Wrede's always been one of my favorites and this is no exception. Wild West, with magic, sort of. A plucky heroine, an awesome bestiary and some wicked clever historical references. (President John Sergeant, which I had to look up).
