F. Paul Wilson has some wonderful books, and The Tomb which started the Repairman Jack series is one of those. Sadly I feel that the books are not tight as he tries to conclude the series. They feel unconvincing and a bit typed.

The overall plot of the series advances as Dawn's baby is born, more is revealed about The Lady, and Rasalom makes a key discovery.But the most satisfying parts of the book are the side detours where Jack enters full-out vigilante mode.

This is the end, almost. The penultimate book of the Repairman Jack series. And in this age of binge watching an entire TV season over the weekend, I'm doing a mini-equivalent and pushing through with the end of Repairman Jack and the Adversary Cycle. I know it's not fair because the author intended it to end on a cliff hanger, just like the last few books in the series, but that's really the only thing that kept me from giving it 5 stars. That and the fact that it refers a LOT to Reprisal, which is not technically an RJ book. I like my storie...
