JUST GOT DONE HOOKING UP NEW DEHUMIDIFIER AND IT IS MORE QUIETER THAN MY OLD ONE. I HAVE IT DRAINED BY A HOSE TO FLOOR A DRAIN SO THAT I WILL NOT HAVE TO EMPTY THE RESERVOIR. SO FAR I LIKE IT.

This unit was easy to open and easy to install. It makes a significant difference on the first floor of my home. It is quiet enough that I can't hear it in the next room.
