What I expected, looked like the picture. Was not hard to assemble.

We ordered 2 of these beds for oneof our guest rooms. My husband, who is NOT the least bit mechanical, put the together in 8 hours. I was impressed! All the pieces were there and the instructions were clear. Ordered two bedspreads from Walmart and it all looks great!

I like this bed because it doesn't squeak or creak, you can configure it to point either way (headboard on the right or on the left), it's constructed very well as everything fits together, and it doesn't require a foundation mattress. Assembly took about two hours.

I've had this bed now for 4 years and it has been used by my daughter until she moved out and now my granddaughter sleeps on it when she stays with me. It's extremely sturdy. I was able to put it together by myself. The directions were very clear. I'm now trying to find it in Queen for myself.
