We bought this for my daughters room because she loves to read in bed. It fits perfectly on her bunk bed (which is pretty thick wood). We love it and she loves it.

It's a nice color blue, the light is very bright. I clip it to the edge of my vanity for extra light when I do my makeup, it's great!
