We've owned this for about three years now and it is a FANTASTIC tool. I can't imagine going back to hand sanding everything! We've done about a dozen walls and a couple ceilings, and this thing has worked like a champ.

The product is fairly durable and strong. I used it on popcorn ceiling. It can sand through the entire layer of popcorn ceiling but I would recommend trying to soak then manually scrape the thick part and do the finish sanding with the machine to save time.
