I have mixed concreet with a hand mixer before, but it is really rough on them. This mixer works get! You can set it for slow mixing at first to get the cement mixed and then speed it up to be sure you have gotten it all completely mixed. best purchase I have made in a while.

I was hesitant to purchase such an inexpensive mixer. Took a chance and glad I did. I primarily mix 55lb bags of mortar at a time in a 5 gallon bucket. No issues whatsoever with this mixing it. I tend to use it on the slowest speed because it works so well. Very happy with the purchase.
