I have had to return two of these that only worked for between 3 to 10 times each before failure and now the third one has failed. I'm not sure where the reviews that say they have had their unit...

It broke the first time I used it. This is the worst product I bought online. Wish I could return it. Unfortunately I bought it a year ago and did not use it until this weekend!!!!!

Works great specially if you need air in an emergency, no car should be without one. Works faster if the car is running. The refurbished product seems to work well. All I have tried so far is to plug them in and turn them on. All three turn on and pump air so I am hopeful they will do the job when needed.

I think I've had mine about two years (of fairly regular use because I had a truck tire with a very slow leak). It just broke. I opened it up to see what happened. There's a metal brace that attaches the gear assembly to the motor and the pump cylinder piston. That metal looks like brittle me...
