I bought this coffee maker 3 months ago, it made its last pot of coffee this morning. I noticed that the coffee wasn't hot, sure enough the heating element wasn't working. So literally garbage now. That's all you have to know to make a better choice when picking a new coffee maker.

Like so many others have already said, this model overflows while brewing, spilling coffee and grinds all over the pot, and the base unit and your countertop, and fills the coffee that makes it into the pot with grinds. Also very loud while it brews. Woke me up from across the house.
