I bought this to keep the squirrels from eating out of my hanging bird feeder, and it works very well....they continue to climb down the cord, but they slide right off the buffer before they can reach down for the feeder. Wish I had bought one many years ago, am going to buy another one.

We purchased 2 of the plastic ones they didn't last. This one has held up great so far. It's heavier and needs to attached tight to keep from slipping. Worth the price!
