The bristles are not to stiff nor to soft. For me it works well getting inside the wheel wells especially the winter build up or the fall leaves that tend to collect in the crevices of my Fusion.

I used this brush on my wheel well and it cleaned them very easily. The bristles are soft, but not so soft that they don't give a good scrub. If you want clean wheel wells again, this is the brush to use.
