I thought this would be good gift for my son's birthday (3 yrs). The 12 inch just seemed too small (he's a big 3yr old). He is a little short for this one but can ride it and will grow into it better by next summer. Overall we are very pleased.

I love this bike for my son. The only detriment was the first bike frame in the front was bent and the tire didn't fit....BUT The local Wal-mart gladly took it back, gave me store credit and the second one was pretty easy to assemble and the front wheel fits like a glove.
