I have owned a few of these in the past 20 years, the one I'm using now is about 4 years old. It stays on a pier, sometimes in the water for periods, but they just don't deteriorate. Turtles and beavers are tough on them but the basket usually survives.

Good quality. Works great on my inflatable boat. Ideal for keeping fish alive longer.

I use it on my pier and in my kayak. It seems to need bait longer and is great for wade fishing. I just wish there was a large version.

Bought this item for our family fishing trip and learned a valuable lesson. When adding your fish make sure the basket is in the water. When I put my wifes rainbow trout in the basket it went under the bottom flap. Needless to say the trout escaped.
