It is soft but sturdy. fits well and covers butt and thighs without being like a big skirt/dress. Very slimming. The Flounce top is very flattering and I like that I don't feel like my girls are going to swim out of the top. I bought this to do water aerobics in and it works perfectly!

My only complaint is that the sizing runs small. I got a 2x 18-20. In most stores, 18-20 is 1x size. This truly is the best bathing suit I have ever had. The front layers hid any tummy areas and the skirt made me feel cute and confident.
