While not quite as good as the "First Robotech War", it still has a great storyline and characters. Has a good tie-in with the first of the series and leads into the "Third Robotech Wars" easily, but also stands alone as an all around good story.

I ordered this (along with the other two-Macross Saga and New Generation) as a gift for a friend who loved the entire series growing up. Love the compact packaging as the series was originally on 18 VHS or DVD discs in individual cases. Can't wait to give them to him and sit down for a binge night.
