This planer rules. Price is half of what other sprial planers are running and it works like mad. I had the blade model and upgraded. Cuts 10X better on hard woods, 3X as fast and is smooth as 80 grit when you are done. I would buy this no problem. Wish they had it in a 15" version.

Item arrived on time and in perfect condition. The planer's infeed and outfeed were level from the factory, and it cuts beautifully without any noticeable snipes.

The planner does leave the wood very smooth that is why the 2 stars. It does have a major problem with chip blow back out the front and this is with a vacuum system hooked up. You have to clean wood chips every time before running a new pass. When I called customer service I was told this was nor...

Was disappointed with this wen planer, the rollers just did not push the wood through. Ordered a 3 blade wen instead, my opinion is the spiral blades are just to much trouble, too much can go wrong with that many blades. But the rollers were the biggest issue.
