We built a narrow ramp and even our travel chair had trouble going down it. We bought this chair because it was extra narrow and it works great. My mother has particularly wide hips and although she has to turn slightly to get into the chair, she fits and says it's very comfortable.

This chair has been wonderful for my Mother. It's narrow so it fits thru our narrow doorways. It arrived with one clip broken so the back could not be folded down for storage, but I leave the back up anyway, so not an issue.
