This unit cools the room as advertised. However, the Fan is very loud on both the Low and High speeds. When the compressor kicks on the unit let's out a bang. I could never sleep with this running, I would have a better nights sleep next to a train station.

Absolute garbage, I bought this two years ago and it just quit cooling. The coils leaked and it cost more to repair it than it does to buy a new one. You can't call the factory to ask for service and the people they send you to aren't servicing the unit. Buyer beware.
