I don’t need the USB charging dock. There is a review stating that the backside is ugly due to the wiring. Can this be removed? Hoping that would clean up the backside and enhance the looks of the backside without disrupting the look of the table.

The wood plug that the cam bolt goes into is missing on one of the side panels so unless I want to drill a hole or glue it, it's very secure in that spot. Also, are there supposed to be pre-drilled holed for the top? I was not able to screw them in by hand and am hesitant to use a power drill so ...
