Love the light, it is very bright and white. I cannot give an opinion at the moment about the bug section being that the weather has changed and their hardly are any flies or bugs around.

This light bulb gives off a soft yellow glow rather than a white light. It really does seem to have decreased bugs flying in the house at night when you are entering from the porch. I guess it doesnt attract moths and other flying bugs like a regular light bulb. Not sure how it achieves this, but...

WOW! how cool is this? now I can have a bright white OR the yellow bug light with the flip of the switch, no special 'program' or app, just screw in the LED bulb and (I don't have the dimmer but it's even dimmable!!!) I'm good to go. great for my porch lights
