This book wasn't exactly what I expected. It's better. It includes cute little stories yet it is informative and shows basic needs for pets. One thing I really enjoyed about the book was the timeline at the bottom of every page which showed how animals effected certain people/events and whatnot.

I really enjoyed this one. Great for dog and cat lovers alike. The animal facts and tips were great. However, the illustrations seemed a little too 'young' for the book. They would appeal to an audience that is too young for the text. But then again everyone likes to look at pictures!
