It's sturdy and holds up well outside. It is not waterproof but does protect items on the shelves. We put ours outside of our camp on a deck with no roof. Held up all summer.

Overall it's exactly as represented the only issue is that it is a lot of time putting together. Taking the parts out separating them from each other and trying to get the panels to sit properly so they fit together. But the end result is a great little cabinete.
