Although I generally like it, it had trouble measuring the less than 40-meter distance to my back fence. It performed excellent inside the house, albeit perhaps it should only be used at night and point towards a flat, reflective surface.

Very good. Although it doesn't seem very well made, it appears to be rather accurate and is undoubtedly easy to use. It took me some time to find one with a reasonable price and a respectable range that I was relatively confident wouldn't turn out to be a dud.
