I purchased this tea kettle as a replacement for my other MegaChef tea kettle. There was nothing wrong with it, it worked perfectly for a very long time. Until my cat, Churchill, decided to shove his fat head in the kettle, get scared, run around like a wild cat and break it.

Love this kettle. Doesn't burn hands and no steam burns when pouring. This is a replacement kettle for the one that lasted two years with constant every day use but the auto off stopped working. I used it an additional two years without the auto stop and it still works fine.. so for four years...

The overall unit is quite lightweight, but does not feel cheaply made. The base that connects to the wall feels a little light but it serves its purpose quite well.
