It was exactly what I had been looking for and is my favorite sauce pan. I really like Calphalon and this pan is a perfect size for many uses. Well designed.

For some reason, the 'non-shallow' suace pans are quite a bit more expensive than the shallow pans are... In any case this pan has a heavy bottom, great finish, top quality pan, plus the clear glass lid allows you to keep an eye on what's cooking!

I use this pan every single day. It is the perfect size for vegetables, soup (canned or homemade) or pasta, when you are cooking for two. As with all my Calphalon pans cleanup is a breeze.
