This really worked as one might expect. Be sure to roll dough as suggested in the manual so the roller can handle it. Both cutters worked well for me. I'm so glad I bought this!! It's sooo easy to use, cut the time in half.. my only concern, is it doesn't roll out the dough as thin as it would be the hand pasta machine, but I have to keep playing it w/ since it was my first time using it
