I was very disappointed at the end of this book. It kept me very interested (at least in one or two storylines; I just skimmed past Moose's story after about half the book), but I expected everything to be explained in the end and I certainly did not feel that it was.

I liked the study of identity and the picture at the end of the "hard, beautiful seashells left behind long after the living creatures within have struggled free and swum away." Several descriptions in the book are spot-on like this and make it worth reading. A few of the characters are incomplet...
