Same durable heavy gauge shelves as found on other more expensive models. The support brace for the shelves doubles as a carry handle when the shelves are folded up. Very sturdy and what I would expect from Camp Chef.

These shelves are sturdy and will hold heavy items,like cast iron pans. Very easy to install and when you are finished with the grill, they fold over and protects the grill burners. Well worth the money.
