This book will be much more enjoyable if you realize that these books were written in the early 1990s. That said, the story and conversation styles are definitely dated. That being said, don't take these books too seriously and you'll have a fun time reading them.

These two stories were decent fun. Balogh's usual Regence romps. The style was a bit dated. I enjoyed the Counterfeit Proposal more as I found the characters more likeable and the plot fun. I found the Notorious Rake to be rather depressing with the sad stories behind the hero & heroine.
