When I ordered this, I thought it was flat...however, it is domed and I love it even more for that reason, being it is in an entry way and can be seen from the side as well as the front.

It comes painted in bronze and gold accents. I spray painted it black (for both color and protection from rust) and hung it outside on an exterior wall and it looks great. I did not know that it is convex in shape and sticks out about 3-4 inches. That didn't affect my liking of the piece.

While not true to color from the pictures shown, it nonetheless still looks great. I would recommend this to anyone looking for that odd something to fill a space. Unique yet with an old fashioned flair, it hangs easily and gives three dimensions to a wall hanging.
