Strong base and top. Wish the water container was glass. I like the way the bottom twists in a few places so there's less chance for leaking. Like the large opening for filling. You can get to all the parts for a thorough cleaning. We'll see how the water container holds up in the heat and cold.

Have had other feeders but they seem to like these best so I bought 3. Two 32oz and a 16 oz. Will buy them again. Plus they are easy to clean.
