This is a good letter opener, but I use it to cut boxes. It makes easy curves for kids school projects or cutting hand holds in boxes that don't have them. Easy to cut Styrofoam and pool noodles. It makes a pretty safe craft knife.

I was looking for a serrated envelope opener as I lost my old one that I've had for years. This is the only one I could find that came close. But the saracens are so miniscule that it's hardly there

Just received my letter opener and I am not impressed. The handle is small and the blade is rather flimsy. Considering the reputation of the company, this is not what I expected.

This device will open a letter but the serrated edge on the blade makes a big mess with little pieces of the envelope going all over the place.
