This sofa is very firm yet so comfortable to sit in. It sits higher so with it's firmness and height, it's easier to get up if you have issues getting out of deep and soft furniture. Assembly is only by illustrations that come with, no instructions but fairly easy to understand.

I didn't think much of it when it was in pieces. Putting it together was easy,it's not fancy but it sure sits better than my old couch. It sits up high enough that I don't have to help my mother up which is fantastic. It also arrived faster than what the shipping said it would.
