This was a reread for me. I enjoyed it again, tho I remember Jade being a stronger woman than I perceived her this time round. Perhaps I have just raised the bar since my last time reading this.

Of the "Crown's Spies" series, this one held the least appeal for me. Caine just never seemed as interesting to me as his brother, and by the time I got around to reading this one, it was nothing new.
